Cinema 4D Tutorial 30 – Network Rendering Basics

In this video I show you a bit about network rendering and some scenes I’m going to pass through it. This tutorial comes in 2 parts due to the fact that I had to edit it and premiere pro was acting up so I had to render in AE and it crashed half way through and made me take the 2 parts.

If you just save project with assets to the NET RENDERS FOLDER. Then you don’t have to upload anything…. especially helpful when you have many textures.

Thanks for the input! I didn’t know that. I’ll have to give that a shot soon.

help? – So i have the Net Renderds folder setup on my mac ( macbook pro) as in THIS video – ive saved my project with the ‘texture’ folder in that location – but other my mac mini and PC still saying ‘missing texture /low memory’ in the net client html windows

Do I need to have the ‘net renders folder’ networked?

Im really lost and banging my head agains a brick wall on this ….Thanks

Yes the folder needs to be networked. You need to enable file sharing in your system preferences.

Does that make sense? If not shoot me an email -> Sam [at] ThinkParticle [dot] com

Hi, Adam Forbes is right – I’ve been rendering like that for a few years now. It works. I do have one question, though – is possible to get motion vector pass out of thinking particles (to be used with reelmotion blur in After Effects, for example)? Thank you.
