Cinema 4D Tutorial 26 – Creating low poly characters
As of late I’ve been screwing around trying to make a lot of personal work just to be creative and have fun. All of which can be found at www.creatingmakesmehappy.com
One of my creations was a low poly character which I modeled and rigged. I have also done a little bit of rough animation (which needs work) and plan to do more animation with it.
I decided after creating the rig I’d show off what I made so directly below this text is a video going over what I created.

Now creating this rig and showing it off clearly wasn’t enough. I decided (with some help from my friends on twitter) that I was going to make a tutorial on how to model and rig these characters. It’s very rough and the character rigs are some of my first I’ve created but they are also made in about 2 hours and are pretty good hack jobs for a beginner I’d say.
So now I’ve made a 2 part tutorial on modeling and rigging with plans on making a video for animating. The rigs aren’t that great, but they would get the job done I believe. Hope you like the video!
