Nifty New Renders

DreamingOfNab

Some simple new test renders are up today. All were done last night very quickly in cinema 4D for fun. I spend quite a lot of time with either Cinema 4d, After Effects, photoshop, or some form of an autodesk product open on my computer. If none of those are open I’m either watching a movie or learning the software while it’s off. That is during my time on the computer, which is a large portion of the day. I put out quite a few renders ever day so I figured I’d share some recent ones. These are all from last night.

The first is a low poly ocean view I took about an hour on. This was start to finish. Started in Cinema 4d, then added to it in Photoshop just a bit.

The next render is a blatant copy of Seth’s video Escape (which was pretty epic). He has a set of tutorials up about it which can be found on his vimeo page.

Some more work I’ve done includes some dynamics using Polyfx, cloth nurbs, and fracture objects. I can go over how it was done or you could learn from where I learned it. That is here.

So there you go. What do you think?

I dream of going to NAB as well. Perhaps next year I will. Be cool if you added a Shark fin, or a low poly dolphin breaking the surface of the water! But the lighting is beautiful. Good jorb!

haha oh that would be fun, if I do anything I’ll fix the composition, but I don’t think I’ll go back to that render just yet. If I do I’ll add the dolphin too :) And if you go and I’m there let me know! :D

This was not what I was expecting. I liked it, but expected the ball to bounce. Funny.

Yah that bottle has a map in it actually, not sure you can see… :)
