Text Edge FX has released in all of it’s glory!

Hey everyone, I’m so proud to announce that I have had the best week yet this year. Among many challenges (like my car dying) and many ups (like my amazing new workstation at my awesome job) clearly the best thing was the opportunity to work with Edward Hassenfratz, a talented designer from DC, but more importantly he’s a good guy. I really think the world of people who are talented yet are still humble and nice and that’s what EJ is. He obviously has talent because he is the brains behind this amazing product and after spending hours on end over skype just hanging out with him while we worked I can proudly say that EJ is my friend.

One thing I demand when working on any project is that we keep the project’s best interest in mind. I want to do what’s best for the people working on it as well but we can’t let the project fail because if it does we let everyone down. This project won’t fail though, I don’t want to come off cocky so please hear me out, I think we will succeed with this product because of our goals. Just like everyone else we need to make money but I didn’t put hours on end into the project because of the money. I put in my best effort, and will continue to, because I believe that this project was going to help everyone in this wonderful community.

So my friends, I am so proud to announce the official release of our new Xpresso Preset Text Edge FX! This tool is built to give you beautiful text no matter how you use it. This tool is easy to use, it’s organized, and ready for you. The tool comes with several separate sections full of all of the settings we personally thought would be needed. Text settings will cover the actual text, the font, the fillet caps (if you so choose to use them) and more. Then you are given a few areas for bevel settings, this is the soul of this product because it’s what sets it far apart from any normal 3D text. Bevel’s give 3D text character. Typography is a very deep subject, and font choice is incredibly important, but when text is 3D it has so much more potential for more, and less at the same time. We have sections for materials and visibility as well, figure I should add that as well.

I hope that didn’t confuse you, I’m going raw with my posts as usual, typing as I think it but I prefer it that way because then it’s real. Anyways back to where I’m going with this.

This tool is here to give you speed and accessibility, as it should, but so much more. We want everyone to have indefinite access to beautiful typography so from this day forward any user of Cinema 4D R12 and R13 has access to this preset and can do anything with it. This tool is ‘transparent’ I like to think. What I mean by that is that it’s here to help you, but not come off as itself first. We don’t want people to watch a video and say, “Oh they used Text Edge FX”, well, that’d be cool but we want you to stand out and not look like you’re using a preset package.

We have given you a tool with so much possibility and it is up to you, the artist, the creator, the one and only, to make it work.

Our job from here on out is to make this better for you so please, don’t hesitate to get in touch if need be. We are here to make the product as perfect for each of our users as possible.

I hope this made sense, and I hope you don’t get freaked out by the massive amount of energy (exaggeration) I often use. Most of all I hope that this tool will help you out.
